“Art Kids from the Country” is the first song I heard by the oh so talented Lucas Carpenter. It’s a good demonstration of how he builds his music through loops he creates with different instruments and beat-boxing. Check out his entire concert at IIT in Chicago in the related videos section. A fan favorite is “Dreamers Working 9 to 5”. I love “Try So Hard”, “Staring At You”, “Around the World” and “Just to Prove that this is Love” (there’s not a video of that but you can listen to it on his myspace - www.myspace.com/lucascarpenter ) His Fergie cover of “Clumsy” is great and so is his new song “Frowny Face Away Message”.
Lauriebreaker - you should check him out because he lives near Philly. His shows are fantastic and entertaining. You’ll have a good time, guaranteed. Plus, he has great lyrics and I know how much you and I both love great lyrics!
